Vimiera Village


Centrally located on the Vimiera Village site is the Assisted Living Apartment building which is a 3 story brick and tile construction in a distinctive hexagonal shape. Many facilities are located on the ground floor including the dining room, commercial kitchen, toilet facilities, care takers quarters, recreation room, laundry and storage areas. This level also contains 4 residential units adapted for disabled use.

Level one and two are dedicated to the residential areas. Level one includes an internal large lounge area with an atrium effect that permits vast amounts of natural light. The layouts of the residential units are of two styles, 27 x Type A which is approx 25 sq m and 27 x Type B which is approx 27 sq m.

All units are of a studio style with a combined lounge bedroom which includes a kitchenette. All the units have individual bathrooms and balconies. Each unit is complete with fixed floor coverings, light fittings, vertical drapes, ceiling fan and space heaters. The operator also supplies call buttons in each bedroom and bathroom.

Access throughout the building can be achieved by the use of the lift to all floors and two stairwells.


Medi-Aid owns and operates a substantial number of Real Estate Properties. These properties are used to assist Medi-Aid carry out its Mission. This is essentially to provide housing accommodation for elderly persons and providing medical and health benefits for men and women in Australia, with an emphasis on benevolent care for those of limited or no financial resources. Medi-Aid properties come under the following categories:


For persons with no home, no funds and a serious housing problem.


Housing accommodation together with assistance in everyday living (meals, laundry, domestic work, and similar services).


Medi-Aid also own properties from which it obtains rentals which are used to support its benevolent activities in other areas of accommodation.


Accommodation is provided for elderly persons, often infirm, who require a smaller area for their accommodation, but need supervision, and support, and on call emergency services, and outside work carried out by others, and are able to assist in the funding.
