Benevolent Housing
Medi-Aid provides accommodation for elderly persons who have no home, no funds and a serious housing problem.
Sydney
Since day one, way back in 1971, our mission was to provide accommodation, mostly for the elderly in Sydney, who found themselves in desperate need for housing. Medi-Aid now operates a number of properties for this purpose around the Northern Districts and Parramatta.
If you, or someone you know, is at risk of becoming homeless, we might be able to help. Note that applicants must:
- be over 65 years and not working
- have no assets
- be experiencing financial hardship
- be able to live independently and handle stairs
- provide a Centrelink Income and Asset Statement
Gold Coast
To maximise our impact, we extended our reach to the Gold Coast, where we currently own and operate a significant number of apartments. Our benevolent housing commitment fosters a sense of belonging and security for individuals and couples facing significant housing challenges. The apartments are maintained and managed effectively, resulting in a positive impact on the lives of residents.
Currently, no vacancies are available; however, our ongoing efforts signify our steadfast commitment to addressing the housing needs of the Gold Coast. This underscores Medi-Aid’s vital role in providing affordable housing solutions to those who might otherwise be homeless, reinforcing our dedication to enhancing the well-being of the community.
